Last December Kevin and I went back to Disney World. The best part about the trip was our scuba dive at Epcot DiveQuest, where we got to swim in the giant aquarium inside The Living Seas.
Christmas tree in the lobby of our hotel, the Dolphin
"Lost" memorabilia in the ABC Commissary
Can you tell which one is Miss Piggy and which is Kevin?
Tower of Terror
We made sure to start the trip off right, by riding the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. The only thing better than our expressions is the one on the face of the girl behind Kevin.
Snow White topiaries
If you look closely, you can see a blurry Mickey Mouse in Fantasmic
At the end of Fantasmic, this big steamboat comes out with every Disney character ever invented
Giant Christmas tree outside of MGM Studios
Grand Floridian, as seen from the Magic Kingdom
Entrance to the Magic Kingdom
Monorail outside of the Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom Christmas tree
Ferry to Tom Sawyer Island, where we spent around 9 hours looking for Tom's paintbrush (the workers hide one every day, if you find it you win a prize or something)
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Haunted Mansion
Garrr, Peter
Target shooting game that we got to play for about 20 minutes because it was broken
This picture and the next one were taken from the Astro Orbiter, which is a high-up ride in the center of Tomorrowland.
Tomorrowland Indy Speedway
Space Mountain, still one of the best rides in Disney World
Tomorrowland at night
Castle at night
Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom
Concert at the Boardwalk we stumpled upon
The Rose & Crown, for when you need a cider (or fish & chips)
Universe of Energy, a 17-hour tour through energy as an excuse to show some dinosaurs
Yet another topiary
I was trying to get all artsy with the Universe of Energy
Innoventions had a Segway demo set up, so of course I had to try it
Riding a Segway for the first time
After trying one out, I want one more than ever
Video of our scuba dive! Kevin and I show up around 3:05, 3:40, 4:35, and 9:40... but the best view of us is at 6:20, when we go into the diving bell. (movie, 47.2mb)
Outside of the Living Seas, right after the scuba dive
Epcot at night
Our hotel, the Dolphin
The view from our hotel room
We probably sang the South Park "Imaginationland" song about 100 times.
Mexico (well, Epcot's version of it)
No trip to pretend Mexico would be complete without a pretend mariachi band!
Who's that funny-looking soldier way in the back?
Italy... well, Epcot's version of it
Me experimenting with the "long shutter" setting on my camera...
IllumiNations fireworks...
Awesome flipping penguin I got in the Japanese section of Epcot... it works 50% of the time! (movie, 17.5mb)
Animal Kingdom Christmas tree
Animal Kingdom safari...
That's a lot of crocodiles
The serengeti
Kevin eating a mid-day snack of hay
Expedition Everest (which was awesome)...
Tree of Life
The Animal Kingdom had a petting zoo! I think it was meant for kids but I went in anyway.
From where I was standing, I could press a button that made water come out of the elephant's trunk to drench the people even more than they already were.
Mickey is rocking a pretty sweet holiday sweater
We had just seen the South Park episode with Bono, so we thought this was hilarious. Plus it was 2am and we were drunk. Big thanks to the guitarist from the band who played at that pub that night... at first he thought we wanted a picture with him, but then he realized we just wanted him to take our picture in front of Bono.
On the last day we took a helicopter ride above our hotels! (Ignore the fact that you can see the reflections of the lights from the hotel lobby)
